In lieu of the anticipated record high temperatures, the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center will be open from 9am to 4pm this coming Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (July 2, 3, and 5).
Direct services will end as usual at 12:30 pm. After that time, we will provide shelter referrals, access to telephones and bathrooms, and a cool spot to spend the day out of the extreme heat.
Water will be available. Please consider donating GATORADE for us to distribute to the guests. Donations may be brought to the Outreach Center or left in the barrels at the front and back doors of Central Presbyterian Church. Any size bottles would be appreciated.
We are also looking for volunteers on these days from 12:30pm to 4pm to provide hospitality to the guests in the Center.
Thank you so much for helping those exposed to the weather without a place of shelter during the day. Please circulate this news to others with an interest.
