3/5 of the commune is headed on a road trip this evening. Leslie, Robbie, and I are getting in the car after dinner and driving through the night. Destination: Grand Rapids, Michigan. I love Grand Rapids, Michigan. I love Grand Rapids, Michigan because I love some people who live there. And I love working for a company headquartered there.
Crazy things always happen while I’m in Grand Rapids. And by crazy I mean good! Like life changing giving kinds of crazy good.
Some crazy stuff came up this week so I wasn’t able to put as much time into my road trip play list as I usually do. A kick-butt play list is essential for any and every road trip to be successful. I did manage to put 140 songs together in my play list entitled, ‘grand’.
Also, I haven’t started packing yet. But it doesn’t take me too long to throw a couple pair of jeans and a few tshirts in a bag. I might ought to throw some soap in there. Amy has requested I bring my brain. (Good reminder.)
We’ll be driving back on Sunday. One of the bonus parts of this trip is that on our way back we are stopping in Indianapolis. We’re stopping there because over an WWF (Words With Friends) game I have met a friend. We met last October and just started chatting while we were playing. Over the last few months we’ve become pretty close and since we are driving right through the area it makes for an excellent opportunity to meet her in person!
I’m hoping to be able to get a good nap when I get home from work today. I’m going to need it to get me through those lonely late night hours of the drive. Really great car conversation with Leslie will surely go down. Lots of sunflower seeding & diet mt dew will happen.
